Strengths: plush, beautifully made, confidence inspiring, unflappableWeaknesses: sram x7 shifters (i'm a shimano boy)Bottom Line: Wow - I was initially going to go for a meta 5 but saw a deal on this and couldn't let it go, and then got worried I'd gone a bit too downhilly. I was sooooo wrong. This bike is amazing. First sitting on it it seems a bit saggy, but out on the trail its just perfect. Not the best climber but it's actually a lot lighter than you'd expect and with pro-pedal it's quite competent. Fast single track and downhill it's amazing - I will hurt myself on this because it just begs you to go faster and faster!!

Strengths: Bought as frame set only... Meta 666 VIP. Super stiff rear end, linkage is trick w/ R23, geometry is perfect on XL w/o head tube eccentric adjustment.Weaknesses: no ISCG tabs for hammerschmidt. If the hammer is as good as they say, it would be perfect for this bike.Bottom Line: Always rode DH bikes everywhere for everything. They worked half the time, sick sometimes miserable the rest. Decided to lighten up a bit but didn't want to go all lycra. This bike is faster on most anything I rode my DH rig on (GT DHI). The travel is 6" from an RP23 but dont be fooled. The linkage isolates any stess on the shock body and feels like 8" of plush linear travel. its hard to get used too. I set the rr sag about 30% and slowed the rebound 5 clicks from fullout (i'm 6' 4" 220)then went real stiff and lively w/fast rebound up front. The result is it sits into the travel a bit and slackens the head angle about another 1.5 * I think its riding at about 67 degrees. Just bombs dh. SO SO climber but the pro pedal helps alot.
