Strengths: The meta 5.5 is great at just about everything! It climbs excellent, decends very well and does everything in between! Picked up my 2011 meta toward the end of 2011 and don't have many complaints about it. The geometry is great as well. Thought I may not like it be ause of the 68° seat angle but it is really nice because the seat nearly disappears when fully dropped.Weaknesses: The top tube is pretty tall, any one that has under a 30inch inseam might want to look elsewhere. Dialing in the sag of the rear shock can also be a pain as the linkage is in the way of seeing the shock sag.Bottom Line: The meta 5.5 as a whole is an excellent bike. I would suggest this bike for someone that has at least a 30inch inseam and is looking for their first bike to fit both xc and all mountain riding. Dependable. Predictable. And a lot of fun to ride.
