Strengths:    Efficient rear suspension, laterally rigid, bulletproof, shorter chainstays than other FS 29ers

Weaknesses:    heavy

Bottom Line:
Good bike, custom geo for sm amt extra, good quality frame with awesome Titus rear end. Felt almost as efficient as my hardtail. Wasn't plush but isn't made to be plush. THe only gripe I had was that it was heavy - somewhere around 7 pounds for the frame alone. Also, the stock geo from viscous has WAY short eff TT's. My XL had a 23 and 7/8" TT. Was quick handling but I always felt like the front tire was riding way too close to me. 4 chili's for a nicely built front triangle, but pricey in my mind. A stock RX is cheaper than this thing. If you want custom sizing, its a nice option. Otherwise I'd probably get the Titus instead.

Yes, it has crazy short TT's (Vicious will get a clue eventually), but I'm pretty sure they'll throw some extra TT in th ... Read More »

does anyone know anything about the groover?

saw a picture of the Vicious Groover with the titus rear-end. Wondering how much they weigh and if they can take 100mm forks. Interesting option if you're into steel.Read More »
