Strengths:    Solid build, quiet, smooth, great component spec for the money.

Weaknesses:    Saddle, size of seat post, triple crank.

Bottom Line:
I researched a lot of 29er hardtails before settling on this one. This was by far the best value and had a component spec that I didn't feel like the manufacturer was skimping on. In this price range there is usually something they cheap out on like brakes, wheels, cranks, etc. But on this bike you get solid components and wheels. Yes you get SLX brakes and shifters, but the SLX group is a solid performer.

The ride is smooth and quiet. It handles well and is plenty stiff. My only complaints are the seat post size and the fact that it comes with a triple crank. The seatpost is an oversized 34.6. You can hardly find an aftermarket seatpost in that size! Didn't somebody let them in on the fact that the 27.2 size is the way to go? Also, the saddle is punishing so I recommend switching that out right away. I'm not sure what possessed them to put a triple crank on here. The bike begs for a double crank setup. None of these things were a deal breaker for me. I can live with the triple crank and I will probably put on a better seat eventually.
