Strengths: Great bike for the price. Hydraulic brakes, and other components found on more expensive bikes. Other than pedals, seems to take a beating well, nothing else has gotten close to breaking despite several good impacts.Weaknesses: Heavier than the more expensive bikes as well. Broke plastic pedals withing a few months. Occasionally scrape front tire with toes- a friend with a Gary Fisher doesn't report this problem.Bottom Line: I'd buy it again. Great price for a good bike.

Strengths: A lot of bike for the money. Front and rear Shimano Deore, Avid Juicy 3 brakes with 185/160mm Rotors, Shimano HG50 9spd (11-34t), Geax Saguaro 29x2.2 tires and much more. This stuff is usually only found on more expensive bikes.It also helps when the bike shop you choose represents the product proudly as well.Weaknesses: Plastic platform pedals, Hub sets are Joytech Alloy Disc 32h front and rear ( I have no previous experience with them and only time will tell, Rock Shox Dart 3 should have been 100mm instead of 80mmBottom Line: The bottom line is, This is a great package for the buck. If you are thinking of moving up to a 29er find a LBS that has Raleigh and will let you try this bike out. I have been a Trek fan for many years now. I am a little disappointed Trek has no 29ers, you have to get a Gary Fisher. The Fisher that comes the closest to the Mojave 29 and is almost $300 more and I feel like I would have gotten a lesser bike. (Sorry Gary) The 29" wheels roll over stuff much easier than I would have believed possible. It does take a little getting used to at first. It feels a bit heavy on the flats, but once you get going you move right along. This is my first 9 speed and the extra gears are nice. Granny gear is very low and feel like you can climb a 90 degree wall if the tires would stick to it. Speaking of tires, First set of Geax tires and I am very impressed. I have been running WTB Nanos on my 26" and thought I would never change. This was a good choice by Raleigh. After long consideration, It dawned on me, Raleigh has been around for a long time and has made it clear they want to make this bike stand out above the growing crowed of 29ers. GET OUT AND TRY ONE.

Similar Products Used: This is my first 29er. Previous bikes are Trek 930, Trek 970SHX (killer ride) and Trek 4300Disc.
Bike Setup: Stock. Added 2 water bottle cages, air pump, seat pack, and trip computer. I have been running around 30psi front and rear. I may change out the stock WTB Speed V seat for my older WTB Devo Ti Proline.
