One Ghost Ronin 29er 29er Hardtail

4.5/5 (2 Reviews)
MSRP : $1300.00

Product Description

We feel the the best way to use the 29er wheel platform is as a hard tail frame, hence our MDC and our Ronin. the wheel approach path combined with the natural springiness of the wheels themselves combined with a rigid yet compliant platform such as a steel or properly shaped carbon structure can give the feel of a low travel 26” wheel but the speed and rolling dynamics of the 29er.

Strengths:    Super light, strong, BB30, oversized head tube

Weaknesses:    2011 frames (aesthetically unpleasing); however, the 2012 frames look super sweet!

Bottom Line:
This is a super sweet bike that will be unique to you. One Ghost seems to be a good company. I had a couple of questions while assembling the bike and they got right back to me immediately.

Strengths:    Weight-super light! Frame construction-beefy bottom bracket area; tapered headtube; internally routed cable guides. Stiffness--a rocket-like acceleration! Appearance--the bike just looks sweet!

Weaknesses:    Standover height is kinda high.

Bottom Line:
This bike is light, stiff, quick, responsive, and beautiful! With the setup I've got, this is obviously for a racer. The bike weighs 22 lbs. setup tubeless with pedals. The geometry is aggressive, putting the rider into a racy position but without sacrificing comfort and the headtube angle is not too severe so you don't feel like the front end is twitchy. The geometry also puts the rear wheel up close to the seattube so your weight is centered over it on climbs, maximizing traction. Overall, I've ridden it a few times, but can't wait to race it!
