Strengths: Floats over rough stuff, gets through technical sections better, just seems faster.Weaknesses: Weight, height.Bottom Line: I've raced ( a lot) on full suspension for the past five years - La Ruta, Leadville, the Worlds etc on a Titus Racer X, Ellsworth Truth and currently a Scalpel w/Terralogic Lefty. All of these have been great bikes. I wanted a return to a hardtail, but the steel 26" just beat me up too badly, so I tried a 29er. I got the Kelly roshambo (reasonablr price, long top tube) and so far it just kicks ass. I need to race it to get a true perspective of my lap times, but so far it feels amazingly fast. It accelerates faster than expected and once up to speed it just floats through the rough stuff. I feel I need a lower gear up long climbs, but it definitely hooks up better than a 26" wheel so it kind of evens out. I'll review more after I race it.
