Strengths: Geometry/Handling, Steel is Real, FlickabilityWeaknesses: Getting asked "Is that an old one or a new one?" a million timesBottom Line: Jay de Jesus was onto something when he designed the 1st OWB way back in 1991 and it shows in the new EWR. After being on a 26" EWR OWB (one of the new ones) for a year, I was so impressed that I had to get one of the 29er singlespeeds. This bike rocks! It handles great and has a very BMX feel to it. The geometry is dialed. Massive standover makes technical moves easier. The slotted disk dropout is designed so you do not need to touch the caliper to remove the rear wheel and has the EWR logo cut into it. The singlespeed also has full cable mounts and a derailleur hanger so it can be run geared or singlespeed. Also go for the team green paint, it's a sweet light green. The EWR guys are a pleasure to do business with and always promptly get back to you. The frames are welded in the USA up in Philly by Bilenky. Stephen Bilenky and his crew are true craftsman and the quality on the frames is top-notch. If you want even more feedback on this bike, Dirt Rag, BIKE, and Speedgoat have all given it pretty much rave reviews too. This bike can do-it-all with some old school soul.
