Strengths: Aethetics, robustness, speed, MTB frame, clearance for big MTB tyres, simple and easy to maintain.Weaknesses: Some gear could be better for the price (crank, mechanical disk brakes). Aluminium frame and fork are very stiff, you have to get used to.Bottom Line: I've been having this bike for a year (2012 version).
It's a fun urban bike that does'nt fear steps, jumps, potholes.
A bit heavy but, once launched, very fast.
Upright position but still aggressive ride.
Big 29" 2.0 road tyres do the jobs on potholes and down the steps.
Mechanical disk brakes just do the job.
Rear 11-32 Alivio derailleur is just what you need to climb most hills and run fast descending them.
Good for fast run in the city but also for some serious riding (I used it in up to 40 km rides on asphalt and dirt with other MTB riders)
I love both mat black or yellow versions.
