Strengths: incredible climber, compliant titanium frame smoothes the rough but isn't too flexy at the wheels or bb, long curved seat post flexes to smooth rough trails, they make a great mustache handlebar you will want. Great xc mtb, periodWeaknesses: People always want to talk about it. These guys make beautiful art that rides great, so be ready to wait for your masterpiece. My shorter chainstays combined with a double chainring and 73mm bb allow me to run a 2.25 nobby nic rear tire but not sure how much wider you could go before rub. That said, I don't need more than that anywayBottom Line: I have a Black Sheep hard tail and it is incredible. Fits better than anything I've ever been on before. The HACS system is a brilliant design; allows you to tension a chain for SS riding with no devices or creaky bb's, and on my geared bike lets me play with CS length for more comfort or even quicker handling. This bike is the best XC bike I've ever had, and I've had many. It is pure awesomeness to ride all over, even on technical rocky trails like Moabs 24 hour course, and I feel less fatigued in the low back after riding than the FS rigs I've ridden in the same places. Worth every dime and hour of wait!

Strengths: Sexy lines, excellent geometry, beautiful welds. This hardtail is more comfortable over small bumps/washboard than my F/S 29er.Weaknesses: Cost, and the wait. But it was all worth it in the end.Bottom Line: Fits like a glove - an old, well-worn one that you've had for years and can't bear to part with. Yeah, it's that good.
