Strengths:    X-5, Disc Brakes, Hydro formed frame, the great geometry on this 29er just feel right!

Weaknesses:    Not the lightest bike out there.

Bottom Line:
Great bike for the money. As a 6'3 rider the 21" feels right!

Access XCL 9.5 vs Motobecane Fantom 29PRO

Looking for a 29er to replace my mid 80;s mountain bike. I need to be able to keep up with my 13 yo son, and my new GT Peace 9r ss is fun, but I fall behind him when we ride together. No habits one way or the other. This is a new hobby I am picking up with some friends. If it matters, I am 5'9 and about ... Read More »

Hello all, I realize this is the 29er forum, but I was hoping to get some unbiased opinions on these 2 bikes and I am leaning toward a 29er, but the deal I have found on the DB FS is incredible IMHO. Keep in mind I do not have a reference point on 26" vs 29er because I really haven't ever ridd ... Read More »
