Strengths: Light weight awesome looking, excellent front and rear suspension at 130 mill of travel.Weaknesses: Front tyre Specialised Purgatory ses nervous at high speed corners and loses traction in shale or loose dirtBottom Line: I purchased a stump jumper expert carbon dual suspension a month ago. I ride in Tokai Forest in Cape Town South Africa. The ride starts with a steep climb up heart break hill about 60 percent gradient. The bike climbs like a dream good traction but feels light. But it's the down hill where the bike really shows its stuff. The front Fox shock and rear Fox with Specialised Brain system swollows up ruts, bumps, rocks and any unwanted surprise that the trail throws at you. It inspires confidence even for most cautious or nervous rider (maybe too much confidence). That all said I did find the big 29 hoops were a challenge going through tite single track. But you can't have one bike that meets all requirements. Not to say that the stumpy is useless going down tricky single track it just takes some getting used to. I am I the view that one could use this as a xc bike even to race. But that's my view. It's the kind of bike that will get you our of bed on a rainy weekend morning.
