Strengths: Rock solid through and over boulder and root studded New England single track.
Quick steering and surprisingly impressive on the climbs.
Going down... just point, peddle, and enjoy.Weaknesses: SLX Shimano drive train works fine but would have liked XT at this price level. Same for Elixer 3 Brakes.
Stock wheels are sluggish.Bottom Line: I purchased the bike at MSRP with an upgraded handbuilt wheel set made with Woodman Hubs, Aero Spokes, and Mavic TN 719 rims. The shop also upgrade the seat post and stem with carbon components.
With the swap outs this bike race ready. Super stable, easy to manuver, and very fast! This bike can hang with the carbon crowd.
