Strengths:    Weight, geometry. This bike is a great climber, rolls well over all terrain, descends well. The price was right @ $3350cdn. Full XT components. Shift cables and brake lines all internally routed through the frame. Shimano XT disc brakes are the best brake set I've ever owned so far. This bike just felt good right from the first ride.

Weaknesses:    The only issue I have had was with the XT rear hub. I broke 3 freewheels. This is a Shimano problem with the latest generation of XT hubs.

Bottom Line:
I replaced the wheel set with Stans No Tubes Arch EX. Put on a Rockshox Reverb Stealth dropper post. and put on some Time carbon pedals. These were the only modifications I did to this ride. I feel the value of this bike is fantastic. A comparable ride such as a Santa Cruz Tallboy, decked out with the same XT components would run you at least another grand. This is my second season on this bike and I am still loving it! I am sold on Ghost!

Ghost AMR Plus Lector 7700

Has anyone bought one of these or taken it for a long demo? It looks a great price for the spec and whilst it's a lessor known brand (to me anyway) I am wondering if it is a good option? Thanks!Read More »

Ghost AMR Lector 7700

Has anybody ever ordered one of these bikes or any bike from Chainreactioncycles.com? I wonder how a warranty would be handled on a frame if there was a problem. Does any one have experience with them? thanks, CraigRead More »
