Strengths:    Very affordable bike for a real full suspension bike.

Weaknesses:    The Range I got came with X-Fusion suspension components that are for OEM. They don't come with lockouts and the better damper. Means I have to spend more later to upgrade

Bottom Line:
I paid less than MSRP because the bike was a demo, but I can see myself paying full price for the bike. It's simply that good. The travel is great, the bike is smooth, the suspension is good too.

All this for less than the price of a Kona process??? SOLD

Strengths:    Super stiff frame. Climbs well. Descends even better.

Weaknesses:    A little on the heavier side but nothing that's a deal breaker.

Bottom Line:
This is by far the best bike I've owned. I was a little worried at first that a 160mm travel bike may be too much for an all a rounder but I was wrong. It's climbs line a rock crawler and descends confidently and is super stable. I did upgrade though and put a Fox 34 Talas and a dropper seat post on so I can adjust the geometry for all day trail riding versus hitting the bike parks. I will say that I tried climbing in both the 160mm and the dropped 130mm travel settings on my fork and found it to be night and day. It's a little heavy but nothing I can complain about. Norco seems to spec their bikes just right to offer a good price point to the consumer. Over all I would highly recommend.

My 2014 Range 7.2 Alloy

I got the last size Medium Range 7.2! I am so stoked on this bike and after shopping around for around a year, I felt it was the best value around. I had narrowed it down to the Kona Process 153 and the Range. To me the Range just felt better. I changed out the drive train to a 1x10 and added a KS ... Read More »
