Strengths:    Great tractions and compliancy. Tire also rolls well for being so aggresive.

Weaknesses:    Price is a bit high, but for a front tire it should last a while.

Bottom Line:
I just repalced the front tire on my HDR with this tire from a Hans Dampf 2.35 and wow what a difference. This tire really sticks and felt more compliant. This front tire really made my bike feel awesome. Even though it is not as wide as the Hans Dampf, it is great in sand and loose/rocky terrain.
Fantastic product.

Strengths:    Great traction, rolls well for a tire with aggressive knobs, relatively light weight, easy tubeless set-up
Very similar to 26" DHF, still a go to tire for dry, loose dirt

Weaknesses:    $65 is tough to swallow for a tire

Bottom Line:
Reliable tire for aggressive riding

They felt good at 18 and 22, but I worried about pealing them off my enve am wheels when leanning hard in a corner. Do you fin ... Read More »

Conti 2.4 vs 2.2, Minion DHF?

Hi. After going nuts reading all king of reviews and tread about tire I would like some suggestion... My bike is Trek Fuel ex 8 with Bontrager Race Disc Tubless wheels. I think i'm gonna make a move and buy Conti Trail King UST 2.2 as a back tire. Up front, I wonder if Trail King 2.2 would be ok or ... Read More »

Sorting out the Minion DHF 29x2.5 versions

Below is a cut and paste from my PM to a big hit big wheel guy a while back: [B][I]I have spoken to a couple of Maxxis folks and they both assure me that part #TB968 ... Read More »

Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5 ?

Is the 2.5 Minion much larger in volume & width than the Hans Dampf? I've read a couple things that the tire is not much wider than the 2.25 Ardent. If that's the case, I'll order. I don't need a true 2.5 sized tire so thought I'd ask before ordering. The HD is about as large as I want. Thanks!Read More »
