Strengths:    Super plush and confident descending.
Comfortable length in top tube (rode a large and I am 6'1").

Weaknesses:    None that I could detect on a demo ride of 4 hours.

Bottom Line:
I demo'd a new 575 with the Race (XT) build kit. This was coming off a Nomadc so was quite a different beast. The 575 was built up a bit heavier than I was used to but while climbing it felt super nimble and was eager to roll over and scramble up everything I pointed it at. This was my first time on a 27.5 wheeled bike and it felt like it charged over or through rocky areas a little more easily than a 26" rig. On the main decent it felt super solid and wanted to pop and jump off any features on the trail. It was certainly a fun bike to rip downhills on. Overall I was impressed.

The stanchions have a few scratches on both sides of the 130mm Fox Vanilla fork, though no leakage is apparent and dust/dirt doesn't build up any faster around the seals as the rest of the fork. So I either ne ... Read More »

575 650B conversions

Since 650b (27.5") is all the rage I see a few frames can run either 26" or 27.5" with a change of drop out adaptor, can it be done with a 575 or any other yeti?Read More »

Feeler: thinking about selling my new large 575-25th

So I've got this new 25th anniversary edition 575 new in a box with fork, headset, BB, saddle that I'm not going to build up. Thought I'd get some feedback before listing it with regards to price. I've been hesitant to sell, waiting until the frenzy of 27.5/ 29er wheels wore off but that doesn't loo ... Read More »
