XC hardtail: late model Talas RL or brand new X-fusion Velvet RL2?

Pulled my 26er out of storage and am rediscovering the joys of riding a hardtail 26er. It's a nice change of pace from my 29er. However, the 100mm Dart 2 fork is a real bummer. It was sufficient when I was starting out. But it can't compare to the Fox on my 29er and it doesn't really keep up ... Read More »

    Xfusion Velvet RL2 actual weight?

Anybody have the actual weight of the 2012 Velvet RL2 (140mm version), preferably with the thru-axle? I'm thinking of switching out my Lyrik to reduce travel and weight, but it won't be worth it if the Velvet isn't much lighter. ThanksRead More »

2012 Velvet RL2 DLA: Pics & reviews please

The flames have been fanned, the Bs are on fire! There has to be at least 1/2 dozen on this here forum that are using the new X-Fusion Velvet. So, what's your take on this fork? I've read what the promoters have to say, and can speculate with the best of them. But who has it & has ridden it ha ... Read More »
