I recently decided to get a cyclocross bike because my Santa Cruz Heckler wasn't cutting it on the mountain roads of the Smokies. After months of looking, I found a used Croll Cyclocross bike on the net and took the plunge after input from MTBR people. It is a Reynolds 531 frame and the most beautifully painted bike I have ever seen. The House of Kolor paint is so deep it looks like liquid. The welds are perfect, the seatstays are a work of art, great craftsmanship... Enough about how pretty the damn thing is, how's it ride? I love the thing, its stiff laterally but forgiving for all day, multisurface riding. I was surprised how well it handled singletrack too. The perfect bike for Tsali. If you aren't familiar with Croll, check em out, they make a sweet USA ride with love.
