Strength:

There isn't much that I can say that is bad. after nearly four years the shocks work great, I still have fantastic breaks, the bike shifts well most of the time and rides smooth on flat ground.

Weakness:

No Rear Shock which I could use and sometimes when I shift, the derailer doesnt shift with what I tell it to (probably because I have crashed it so many times going off jumps and rocks though)

I would not buy this bike now adays only because there are better bikes now made by the same company but, if you are looking to save money, yet still get a great bike, this is definitely the bike for you.

Stif Frame, reasonable price, great ride uphill.

Weakness:

Angles are terrible downhill, Front fork is low travel and very soft, no disc mounts.

Great begginer bike, but if you a looking for a racer or high class its not for you. It looks good, its a great frame. The Haro components work well as long as you don't push them too far.

SUSPENSION JETT FORK BOUNCES BACK TO MUCH ON HARD TRAILS

Good bike for beginners and the buck.I have noticed some draging from the front derailer in high gears hard core riders stay away from this one. NOTHING A LITTLE ADJUSTMENT WONT TAKE CARE OF THOUGH.

Very durable, light weight, not too expensive, decent components

Weakness:

Front shocks needs to be upgraded....just purchased Judy SL, Pedals are weak plastic, broke on me. Dealer replaced with upgrades at no charge (THANKS!)

I've owned Haro products my whole life. They stand behind their product 100%. I ride as often as I can and have put quite a few miles on this bike. I kind of wish I bought the 7.2 now with it's better components, but with an upgraded shock and some new pedals, I'm good to go. Would not hesitate to buy another Haro.

Strength:

the frame lasts, its a good grade of alluminum and really stiff it takes the abuse, i like the head angle ,and the price is good for a frame this sturdy.

Weakness:

all the components, within the first 3 months I warped both wheels, the both hubs where shot ( just snapped my rear axle ike a twig), and both deraiers needed an overhaul. the bottom bracket creaked, the handle bar is an elongated cinder block, the front shock I blew through like miles davis on a trumpet, and the pedals and the seat were, well, not so great.

this is a great bike for beginners, Good for easy going trails and sometimes something harsh. If you like just to cruise around town or at the park and want to show off your new "mountain bike", get it. If you are hardcore and want a stiff hardtail frame, this is it. but ditch the stock parts and use as paper weights. Unless you spec this bike out, it won't last with the stock lineup. I would almost go as far as to say with the right components, one could almost take this thing light hucking. LIGHT. I have been really abusive on this ride and it lasted this long, surprisingly, but it has been a good bike. 4 for the value, but a 3 overall for bad component, but you get what you pay for. se la vi.

Sharp looking bike with the v-bar in the yellow colour with the red forks. The frame is good and durable

Weakness:

the peddles are not so good and seat need to be upgraded and new shocks

I wish I went for the escape 7.2 every thing is a better quality it also has disk brakes and better shocks I think I will go for the 7.2 escape for more money the value of the bike is greater than the 7.1 over all the bike was not to bad but could use some upgrades.

front shock isn't so good. but for bikes price it's ok.

an excellent mountaine bike for a serious begginner.

Looks sweet, solidly built, excellent brakes.

Weakness:

chain rattles a lot going over major bumps. Is this bad? I don't know.

I'm just a beginner but I've been hitting the local trails pretty hard and this bike hasn't let me down. I like the way the breaks feel and the smoothness with which the gears shift. With all shimano parts and a rock shock, it was a bargain at $429 at the local Oshman's.

If you're going to hit regular street trails, this may not be the bike for you since it comes with big old knobby tires and a shock. But it's excellent for a beginner to the world of off-road biking, like me.

The Rock shock Jett fork is good for a light rider and a beginner,The brakes are great they stop very well. Light bike good sturdy frame. The ShimanoA shifting is great. The rims are also pretty good.

Weakness:

The saddle is pretty hard if you still want your family jules change the saddle.

This is a very good bike for a begginer and a light rider unless you change the shock. This bike kicks A_ _ its light and durible. The frame looks nice and is very sturdy. If you are a begginer get this bike or just change the shock.

forks pedals bars saddle

what a top intro bike. I got this for £215 new in a sale at my LBS and I'm still grinning. the forks are adequate until you are able to notice the difference then you'll want to upgrade. it's stifff, handles well and is superlight for a bike of this price. the pedals are, again, adequate until you get the hankering for spd's. new bars are inexpensive and a matter of personal choice. conclusion ? well, for £215/$300 you can't go wrong, can you ?

compare this to all other £215/$300 bikes and you'll see what I mean. I will buy another, more serious Haro in the future for XC when I'm a bit fitter. probably full suspension.

see you out there ;-)
