Strength:

very comfortable and secure, side wing pockets are great for food and anything you might want to reach while riding.
the weight of your water rides low on your back and on your hips. good for people with back problems.

Weakness:

makes your jersey pockets inaccessable unless you unbuckle waist strap, but you dont really need your jersey pockests with the side wing pockets.

this is favorite pack of all that i have tried, take the time to get the suspenders adjusted correctly. when it is adjusted properly the pack doesnt bounce or shift like others tend to do.
also i took the advice of a previous poster and used my CAMELBACK bladder.

the guys at WINGNUT are super cool to work and really take pride in their product. they are very customer service oriented. good people to deal with.

Strength:

Excellent fabric, totally washable, light weight, geometry of design.

Weakness:

Reservoir. Mouthpiece does not deliver large enough quantity of liquid. Hose easily gets kinked

This is the product that is perfect for long distance rides and endurance races. The design lowers the load on your back thereby reducing back fatigue and overall rider center of gravity.

Easy “on the fly” entry to side pockets (or wings) allows access to nourishment while maintaining rolling momentum. Shoulder straps are wide and comfortable and left strap has a shoulder pocket perfect for a cell phone, iPod or in my application a Hammer gel flask.

Don’t bother with the Wingnut reservoir, it’s very substandard and not an appropriate accessory to an otherwise brilliantly designed pack. Use your “old” Camelbac reservoir or if this is your first purchase of a hydration pack purchase the Camelbac reservoir separately.

I’m going to give this product a 5 but clearly understand I am disappointed with it’s separately purchased reservoir.
