Polarpak Polarpak Gel Cooled Water Carrier

4/5 (4 Reviews)

Product Description

This revolutionary hydration system features a non-toxic freezer gel that keeps liquids cool during your favorite activities. Consistent freezing action of the POLARPAK inhibits the growth of bacteria, considerably cutting down the cleaning regimen. If you are one of those enthusiasts that adds ice to their reservoir, the POLARPAK system is a much better option because it keeps fluids colder longer, won’t dilute sports drinks as the ice melts, doesn’t harbor sharp ice fragments (which can penetrate regular bladders) and is much easier to remove from the pack due to the quick release coupler. On top of all that, it makes a great icepack for trailside emergencies.

Strengths:    Keeps water cold. Well made. Great price.

Weaknesses:    The bite valve has started to leak. I have purchased a bite valve with a shut off in hopes of fixing this problem.

Bottom Line:
A really nice product that I would recommend. The bite valve might leak after a few years of use.

Strengths:    Works great until gel leak occurred

Weaknesses:    Gel leaked at seam, if squares were sewn individually it would be better. If leak happens anywhere on bladder all gel is gone

Bottom Line:
Works just fine....pricepoint did replace for free so we will see if this one holds up. I only used it 3 times before gel leak

Strengths:    Keeps liquids cool for extended periods of time. Quick release hose is easy to use, and works well. Keeping this bladder in the freezer reduces bacteria growth significantly, requiring less cleaning. sturdy construction.

Weaknesses:    weight. Once the gel warms back up, it is just dead weight. Luckily this takes several hours in an insulated bag.

Bottom Line:
if your not worried about the extra weight, and you dont like drinking warm water, it is a great bladder.

Strengths:    Keeps fluids cool!

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
I love this product! Other than keeping the fluids cool the whole day you can detach the hose for easy cleaning. The bite valve has a check valve system which keeps the fluid from leaking out.
