Strengths: Small size fits kids well, low profile and bladder size keep it easy to wear; reflective striping on some seams and in some graphics of different versions. Fantastic first water bag for MTB kids, and a very good price point.Weaknesses: Lack of storage capacity or strap-ons. Cargo/snacks must be stuffed in bladder pouch.Bottom Line: The Skeeter is excellent as a first hydration bag and will fit the torso of small kids well. It's great for hiking and biking. This is much better than a bargain-priced hydration bag that will hang down below the tailbone of your child!
If your child is ready to carry his or her own snacks or you want to strap on an extra shirt, be able to stash sunglasses, or to allow the child to carry gear such as patch kits, etc... then the updgrade to the Mini-Mule is where you should go.
