Strengths:    Loads of room with easy pocket to hold the helmet on long climbs. The DVIS system does work in reducing dreaded back sweat, buy not stopping it rather cooling your back when you ride as air does flow through it.

Weaknesses:    Heavy but carries on the back like a much lighter pack.
Velcro water tight closure is kinda weak, waterproof zipper would be better

Bottom Line:
Get it if you need a larger pack. I'm happy with the fit and would recommend it as a larger pack that rides on the back like a smaller pack, its a bit heavy but well worth the weight for the comfort.

Camelbak H.O.S.S. or Alpine Explorer - which is the better pack?

I use a pack year round (XC skiing, snowshoeing, cycling and hiking). I tried looking up user reviews, but they are a bit scarce for either mo ... Read More »
