Strengths:
Cheap and simple.

Weaknesses:
Leaks around filler cap, which is a real pain when riding in winter. Can't tell if back is covered with sweat or just leaking bladder. May donate it to charity.

Bottom Line:
If you have forearms like Popeye, you just might be able to close the filler cap tightly enough to get in a one hour ride without drenching the back of your Jersey. Drink fast!

Strengths:
cheap, light, does what it's supposed to

Weaknesses:
capacity

Bottom Line:
a good bargain for $19 at supergo. the 70 oz.
bladder holds 3 16.9 oz bottles of Poland Spring
water, so either my math skills are abysmal or the
capacity is overrated.

Strengths:
light, can't tell its there sometimes, holds just enough for me.

Weaknesses:
holds just enough water, i think it's starting to leak a little bit.

Bottom Line:
cheap, good value, lightweight, good for mid-range length rides (about 30 miles?).

Strengths:
Cheap, not a waterbottle

Weaknesses:
Not a Camelback MULE

Bottom Line:
Picked this up for $20 at the LBS clearence sale. Went for a two hour ride the next day and drank all 70 oz. I don't think I've ever drank that much over a ride (you know, like you're supposed to. . . ). This is a pretty cheap system, but it's a great value.

Strengths:
Keeps cool, holds heaps, light weight, can almost forget it's there.

Weaknesses:
Outer straps don't hold onto things very well. I wouldn't risk leaving a banana in them.

Bottom Line:
Great thing,
Haven't tried it with gin.

Bonzai

Does anybody have the 411 on the Bonzai race for this weekend? As of yesterday there was to be a new course that was rumored to be Eastside down Sweet Connie ending on Bogus Basin Road in a time trial format. As of this morning Wildrockies.com is explaining it as a group ride ending near Dry C ... Read More »

Boise to Bogus Bonzai Tree Ride

Today we did the Boise to Bogus Bonzai, named after the miniature tree. It involved a lot of up. I went for another ride with the Earthpig, the AMERICAN LEGEND. Bonzai

I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of the board members up at the Bonzai today. What an awesome ride! I had forgotten how long and steep the climb was though. I thought that the 'ol Epic would not have nearly enough suspension for the race, but I was more than pleased. I felt sorry for a lot of ... Read More »
