Submitted by Willis a Weekend Warrior from Columbia,SC
Date Reviewed: December 29, 1999
Favorite Trail:
Lynches Woods
Duration Product Used:
6 months
Strengths:
Cheap and simple.
Weaknesses:
Leaks around filler cap, which is a real pain when riding in winter. Can't tell if back is covered with sweat or just leaking bladder. May donate it to charity.
Similar Products Used:
None, but anxious to find one that works.
Bike Setup:
Cannondale Super V 500.
Bottom Line:If you have forearms like Popeye, you just might be able to close the filler cap tightly enough to get in a one hour ride without drenching the back of your Jersey. Drink fast!

Date Reviewed: September 8, 1999
Favorite Trail:
locals only
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
cheap, light, does what it's supposed to
Weaknesses:
capacity
Similar Products Used:
water bottles
Bike Setup:
access/xt
Bottom Line:a good bargain for $19 at supergo. the 70 oz.
bladder holds 3 16.9 oz bottles of Poland Spring
water, so either my math skills are abysmal or the
capacity is overrated.

Date Reviewed: August 31, 1999
Favorite Trail:
all
Duration Product Used:
3 months
Strengths:
light, can't tell its there sometimes, holds just enough for me.
Weaknesses:
holds just enough water, i think it's starting to leak a little bit.
Similar Products Used:
water bottles
Bike Setup:
does it matter?
Bottom Line:cheap, good value, lightweight, good for mid-range length rides (about 30 miles?).

Submitted by Matt a Cross-Country Rider from DC
Date Reviewed: August 16, 1999
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
Cheap, not a waterbottle
Weaknesses:
Not a Camelback MULE
Similar Products Used:
Watter Bottles
Bike Setup:
Stumpy M2, Mag 21
Bottom Line:Picked this up for $20 at the LBS clearence sale. Went for a two hour ride the next day and drank all 70 oz. I don't think I've ever drank that much over a ride (you know, like you're supposed to. . . ). This is a pretty cheap system, but it's a great value.

Submitted by RG a Cross-Country Rider from Christchurch
Date Reviewed: August 8, 1999
Duration Product Used:
3 months
Strengths:
Keeps cool, holds heaps, light weight, can almost forget it's there.
Weaknesses:
Outer straps don't hold onto things very well. I wouldn't risk leaving a banana in them.
Similar Products Used:
Water bottles - get hot and don't hold much!
Bike Setup:
Marin, Palisades Trail, Maintou shocks.
Bottom Line:Great thing,
Haven't tried it with gin.
Overall Rating:4
