G Force UT (Upright Trainer)
Introducing the g-force revolution.
The first exercise bike you can
adjust to fit you. A seat that not
only goes up and down but also
slides fore and aft. Handlebars that
can be adjusted too. Four critical
adjustments that insure your
workout will not only be more
effective, it will be comfortable and feel good too. Add a narrower,
more natural pedal width,
ergonomic handlebars which allow
different hand positions, a standard
seat post which can accommodate
any road bike seat, and a wider
base so you can even pedal out of
the saddle - and you begin to see
why the g-force UT performs like a
great road bike. With 13 custom
workout programs, including three
for heart rate training, the g-force
UT not only feels great to ride, you
have exceptional workout options.

Strengths: Smooth resistance. Multiple programs. Very adjustable set-up, can mimic exactly the set-up on my Brodie mountain bike. Pedal width is the narrowest I've seen on any 'exercise bike'. Very well designed.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Bottom Line:
I've owned and used a lot of exercise bikes and the Lemond G-force Upright is by far the closest thing to actually riding a bike. When you've finished a workout on an exercise bike you can sometimes feel a little 'off' physically because of the different set-ups with different types of bikes, particularly the pedal width on most exercise bikes is much wider than an actual bicycle and the seat height is adjustable in 'steps' which means a person may not be able to find the proper seat height for his/her body type. Also the hand position on many exercise bikes is poorly designed and uncomfortable. With the G-force Upright you can adjust ALL parameters infinitely so you can mimic your bicycle set-up exactly and adjust the bike so the ride is comfortable in every way. When you've finished a workout on the G-force Upright you feel as though you've been out for a ride on a bicycle. If you're looking for an exercise bike that is very much like riding your bicycle, the Lemond G-force Upright is the best available. Highly recommended!

Strengths: Well designed; feels like a road bike; lots of programs to keep you motivated.
Weaknesses: Quality of the product is HORRIBLE. I've had it since Oct '08 and already had to replace the console, a sensor, and many other parts. So far, problems have cost me a month of training. Recently had someone out to perform more maintenance and it still doesn't work right (all read outs are half of what they should be). LeMond obviously has some serious QC issues.
Bottom Line:
When it works, it is a lot of fun. Problem is, I've had nothing but problems with this and I'd strongly suggest looking at other spin bikes before considering this one. For $1800, you should get something bullet proof and this has been nothing short of a major headache.
