3 one hour rides and I was spraying fluid all over the carpet and wall of my apartment.

Bottom Line:
Do NOT buy this trainer, it's crap. I'm looking at getting a Kurt now. At least my local bike shop was cool about taking it back. The fluid chamber was still warm and dripping when I brought it back.

Just a follow up on my last review. It only took them a few days to get back to me via email. They are going to warranty it, so that is the good news. The bad news for me is that I have to pay to have the defective one shipped to them. I'm upping my rating, cuz it did work well at first - aside for the little oil leakage.

Bottom Line:
In Korea it gets Damn cold in the winter forcing us to ride indoors. Almost from day one I noticed a small amount of oil leaking out of the unit. Over time the amount increased. Now, there is no oil. I'm going to contact them to get it replaced. Hopefully they be speedy about it! I'd give it four chilis for value and rating if it didn't leak oil.

Strengths:
Compactness, folds up real small, smooth, quiet. AWESOME customer service at Graber
Weaknesses:
Leaked the day I got it home, it was a demo unit at the Bike shop.....
I love this thing, it is quiet, adjustable and smooth. Graber's customer service is second to none, the first review boggles me.. Why would someone spend that kind of money then not follow up on the service??? I emailed Graber and they gave me a # to call. They sent me out a new resistance unit within 5 days and even paid for the shipping to get my old one back. NOW THAT"S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Side benefits >>> makes a good bike stand to do some maintenance and bike fitting.

Bottom Line:
I bought this unit after using a wind trainer for years. I was impressed with it's smooth action and quiet operation. It served me well for only a year. It started to leak oil and the resistance disappeard. I contacted Cycle-ops for help and received no answer. For $300 I expected better reliability and definitely better customer service. I've recently purchased a Kurt Kinetic trainer. Big difference in quality. The fluid unit is completely sealed. The rotor spins the impeller through magnetic coupling. It's a much better unit than the Cycle-ops at the same price.

Levels of resistance. Quiet design.
Weaknesses:
Frame flexes.

Bike Setup:
Custom Schwinn Homegrown and Litespeed Vortex
Bottom Line:
This was a replacement for the 1999 resistance unit that leaked oil. This new unit can take more abuse than previos designs because the seals hold up to higher temperatures. The customer service department at Graber is excellent. They took care of the problem immediately and within a week after having sent in the resistance unit I had a new one. The previous trainer borke a seal after 3 months of daily use, so I'm hoping this was can hold up. The product is great as long as its not leaking.
