Good price. | | Weaknesses: | Have not had problems with the plastic knobs, but they look to be a step down in terms of durability compared to the rest of the frame. | | Similar Products Used: | First fluid trainer. Used a Minoura magnetic. | | Bike Setup: | Trek road | | Bottom Line: | Fluid unit takes at 5 - 10 minutes to warm up. In the meantime, it sometimes vibrates if I try to push it beyond 250 - 300 watts towards the beginning of a workout. Once it's warmed up, it smoothes itself out and it seems to work OK. It's not an issue on long easy sessions, but it can be annoying when I am jumping on and trying to get a shorter/higher intensity workout.

The first one I bought had a broken plastic knob used to tighten the stand to the bike so I returned it for another one. The knob looked OK, but when I went to use it another plastic piece was broken rendering it unuseable. I recommend setting your bike up on it at the store to be sure it is in working order. I am now concerned about the quality and a bit frustrated - time is money, so I give it a low value rating, but have to presume it would have performed well overall. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
