Strengths: Smells good, does not damage paint, leaves no residue, bio friendly, does the job.Weaknesses: expensive price.Bottom Line: Good stuff...if you're not on a budget. Otherwise, use gumout carb cleaner for less than 1/3 the price.

Strengths: Cleans greatWeaknesses: Can get expensiveBottom Line: It's similar to brake cleaners but it's not as noxious. Cleans chains really good... even chains with nasty caked motor oil (I worked in a bike shop). Faster than soaking and doesn't leave a residue behind. Does strip everything off so be sure to use a chain lube after cleaning.
Just spray your chain thoroughly and let it dry for a couple minutes. Apply your chain lube and you're ready to go again.
