Strengths:    Its big black and yellow

Weaknesses:    Tool failure

Bottom Line:
This tool is a hassle to use. So are chain whips, but are so much easier to implement. The hassle is trying to kep this tool seated while loosening the lock ring. The Pedros tool developed a loose stud and have to be seated upon every use. Unfortunately it was on the 11t side. It has been replaced by a chain whip.

Strengths:    Design, quality. Tool will last a life time.

Weaknesses:    Only works on the 11t or 12t cog on cassettes(pretty standard these days).

Bottom Line:
Great design. Don't know what the last reviewer was using for a cassette remover but Pedro's and Shimano's work fine with this tool. I'll never use a whip again if at all possible. By far a superior design. Much safer to use with the proper cassette lockring removal tool. *A note on the cassette removal tool- The center post that Shimano and Pedro's added keeps the tool from rocking because it slides deep into the axle where the skewer goes and prevents the tool from rocking(dump the Park Tools). With this combination you can't go wrong. I do love Park stuff but this one's got em' beat. By the way, I've been wrenchin' on bikes since 1970 and I've used many, many tools.

Strengths:    None

Weaknesses:    Poor design, center hole is not big enough to allow the socket to seat properly. If you angle it even slightly it pulls the socket out and you bust a knuckle.

Bottom Line:
This thing is trash, overpriced, stick to a chain whip. It's built well but poor implementation and it's hard to beat a chain whip.
