Strengths:    nice weight, threads, etc. Seems to be solid. Used it to install a Chris King headset. Note that for a CK headset you will need a CK adapter or improvise with something else, because this tool will press right on the bearings=bad. I think the Park tool press will have the same issues with CK headsets.

Weaknesses:    Only used once and none so far. Only that it doesnt directly work with Chris King headsets without the CK adapter, but this is a CK issue, not Spin Doctor.

Bottom Line:
These spin doctor tools, while not as beefy as the Park tool versions, seem to be a much better value and so far do the job just fine. This press seems pretty good.

Amount of press fit intereference for headtube I.D and headset O.D.?

How much interference is there generally between a headset and headtube? Reason I'm asking is that I ended up with a Ti bike that has a funky 1-1/4 headtube. It measures about 36mm I.D. and all the 1.25" headsets and 1.25->.1.125" headset spacers seem to measure about 37mm on the O.D. I tried tur ... Read More »
