Strengths: Cheap. Works.Weaknesses: Could be made of stronger stuff.Bottom Line: Adequate tool. 5 for value. 4 overall. Could be made of stronger stuff. LBS (Cyclepath) wanted $17 or something hilarious for a Pedros. Felt like spitting on the price tag!
As I was ordering some bits from PP anyway, shipping on this was effectively free. Will invest savings in other stuff.
There's supporting your LBS and there's getting bent over and ****ed. At >500% of the price, the LBS were gouging plain and simple. This tool will do the job for home mechs. A pro that uses it many times every day, may benefit from a Park/Pedros.
Lets face it, as a cone-wrench is nothing more than a notch in some metal, unless you deliberately make it out of a metal that's too soft, and or somehow fail to cut the notch right, it will work. You could just make one in 10mins from some mild steel with a hacksaw and file! Hmmm. All sizes on one handle. Free. Great.
