Strengths: Small,strong and useful
Weaknesses: The 5mm socket drive on the chain tool pin should be deeper
Bottom Line:
Good little tool, it will get a mountain biker home, but will not repair everything on the trail, not designed to.
Also, Pedros give me great customer service. Using the tool in the wrong manner I strip out the 5mm socket head on the chain breaking pin. I wrote an email to Pedro's asking if they would sell me a replacement pin. To my surprise they just email me two of them, no charge. Yes, I be will buying from these people in the future.
It looks and feels like the tool base is bar stock, therefor it is much stronger than other light weight chain tools that are made of a cast material. It has three spoke
wrench sizes at the end of the chain tool handle, and they work really well. If you want a simple basic multi-tool for
the trail or road, then buy it. If you wany be able to fix everything on the trail, it's not for you.
