The CCP-22 by ParkTools uses a long comfortable handle and extra fineThreadThat providesThe needed leverageTo remove evenTheTightest cranks. ParkTools unique “floatingTip” ensures smooth operation and long life. Fits all cranks using 22mm x 1Threads and square,Tapered bottom bracket spindles Also fits "Power Spline" cranks from SRAM usingThe 8mmThread bolt With a stronger, smoother-operating rotatingTip system,The CCP-22 will be replacingThe current CCP-2
Strengths: Durable, not terribly expensive considering it's the only way to pull square tapered cranks
Weaknesses: Doesn't provide much leverage
Bottom Line:
It works, but I had to use a cheater bar. An old pipe I had laying around about 2 foot long. But other than the lack of leverage it works great. If you have square tapered cranks, you need this tool period. I'm sure you can find one a little cheaper though if you don't go with park brand. But, since it's Park, I trust it!
