Strengths: easy to use, accurate, well built, sturdy enough for shop useWeaknesses: none notedBottom Line: Before I bought this tool, I ate a lot of rings and cogs due to excessively worn chains. I wasn't diligent about checking for wear because checking with a ruler is a pain in the butt. This tool is so simple to use, it only takes a few seconds to determine whether or not your chain is due for replacement. The investment is well worth it.

Strengths: Well-designed. Strong materials. Ease of use.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: Unlike what numbnuts said below, there is a small amount of play or "stretch" built into every new chain. Read the instructions before use. Very simple to use.

Strengths: This product has no strengths.Weaknesses: It does not work: out of the box this tool indicates new chains are worn! Use Rohloff. It is beautiful and classic. Park has ripped off this design for there new CC-3 chain wear checker. I am a certified bicycle mechanic.Bottom Line: Use Rohloff. That is what the pros use....
