Good tool in theory.

The 8-SIDED 36mm interface makes it nearly impossible to use a torque wrench. Called Park to see if they had an adapter, and tey discontinued it, apparently since the last review of this tool. Their recommendation - go to Sears and buy a 36mm crowfoot tool. Good idea, except that crowfoot tools only come in sets costing ALOT of money, and 36mm only come in sets of HUGE crowfeet. Over $100.

No thanks, I bought a Truvativ BB tool which has a 1/2" ratchet drive interface.

From 2007 on, buy a Truvativ tool.

Cheap, good quality, you can use a torque wrench with it.

Tends to slip easily,teeth don't slide into Shimano BB's deeply enough.

This is a good tool for the price. However, the teeth don't go deeply enough into the bottom bracket to prevent slipping. VAR makes a better tool which has a bolt through it that threads into where the crankarm bolt goes. It can't slip and is great for removing the BB. The Park is better for installation because you can use a torque wrench.

It's such a simple tool. How could they go wrong? I bought it to build a new bike and it worked fine. No slipping, and it worked fine with a torque wrench. It's definitely a keeper.

This tool is cool! It fits perfectly in the bottom bracket and almost never slips out(sometimes it does but that is my fault). It aint that expensive either. It is what I expect from park!! I give it 5 flaming bananas!!have to make it 50 words so @ @ @ @ @ # # # # # #

It works just fine, no problems, it does what it is supposed to. $10 from REI. Hopefully I won't have to use it too often. Just remember which way to unscrew to remove the BB (one side is left hand thread, the other is left hand), otherwise you may end up smashing the plastic cap (if you have one of those cheap BB).

I am totally satisfied with Park's bottom bracket tool for Shimano style BB's. You can mail order one for about $9 or pay $14 at your local bike store. I can find no fault with it.

I do all my own work and I can't complain, only about the cost of Shimano tools.

What can I say? Shimano and their toothy bottom bracket cups requires their special tool to remove it. Well, don't pay a bunch of moola for Shimano's tool. Just get Park's version. Same tool and better price (approximately $9)...works the same. Minus is that its made from tooled steel which can rust.

It's a tool.It's made by Park.It doesn't break easily.It fits.It works.It's best to use it with a torque wrench.

It's a tool.....it serves one purpose only...I'm totally satisfied with my Park BB Tool. Park Rules!
