Product DescriptionTubular Cromoly construction means that this rack provides better fatigue-resistance and greater load capacity than aluminum racks. Stable and durable, this rear rack will work with just about any pannier set made. Unique mounting system makes it compatible with most any braze-on configuration. Braze-on reflector bracket and fender stay eyelets are standard features; powder coat finish for corrosion resistance.

from Washington, DC USA Date Reviewed: March 30, 2004 Strengths: The Tubus Cargo rack is extremely strong, minimalistic design is very attractive and stable. The mounging system is very well designed and clearly built for stability and heavy loads. The rack is rated to 90 lbs, an amazing number. All mounting hardward is included. And to protect the powdercoat Tubus includes patches to mount on the rack at appropriate points. The rack includes a braze-on bracket for rear lamps, nice touch. They guarantee to send any replacement parts needed to any place on the globe, BY COURIER. They probably have never had to do so, given what I can see. Their warranty is for 3 years. I currently use if on general use commuting and long country rides, but will be using it heavily loaded soon. This is the rack for those looking for a high quality yet stylish expedition rack at a reasonable price, more expensive than Blackburn but half the price of the big boutique racks.
