Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Great Pump, best 'mini' pump I've ever used. The floor pump feature makes it much easier to use, and the hose fitting helps by not putting undo stress on the valve stem base.
Weaknesses:The pressure gauge and frame mount. I noticed right away that since the pressure gauge reads up into the 100's of PSI, and is so small, its hard to get any detail in the 25-50psi range most MTB riders care about. Also, most of the pump is strong metal or plastic, but the gauge and frame mount felt kind of flimsy from the start. First the mount broke, I called topeak and they sent me a new one right away (GREAT customer service) A few good crashes later and the gauge broke, now my pump is useless because it leaks air through the gauge, I may call topeak again and see if they will replace it with the non-gauge version of this pump, but for now the pump is toast
Bottom Line:Awesome pump, but unless you absolutely need a gauge, go with the version that doesn't have a gauge. The gauge adds unnecessary weakness and unreliability to an otherwise GREAT pump.

Favorite Trail:Outback Trail @ Imagination Glen
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $35.00
Purchased At:Cambria Bike Outfitters ...
Strengths:It is like a floor pump but it attaches to your frame. The flip down digital pressure gauge is awesome. The frame mounting system is pretty trick as well.

The hose system on a frame pump is a stroke of genius. The air volume is excellent.
Weaknesses:This is not a mini-pump. It's a large frame pump. I don't find this a weakness as I believe the ability to quickly inflate a tire on the trail is important. The REAL weakness in this pump is that Topeak chose not to use a smarthead assembly. Instead it uses the traditional bidiredctional rubber that allows you to customize the head.

It is a large pump and it may not fit into small frames.
Similar Products Used:Various standard frame pumps.
Bike Setup:Giant Yukon frame. Cinder 2.25" XT/Rhynolite wheels, disc brakes, Deore Octalink Cranks, Thudbuster LT, Sram X.9 derailleur/Griphifts, Bontrager L-Bars
Bottom Line:This is the best portable pump I've ever seen. It pumps great and handles well. There are plenty of crappy mini-pumps out there for $25. So I consider this a real value for $35. I'd gladly pay an extra $10 for a smarthead.
