Date Reviewed: June 5, 2004
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Purchased At:Canadian Tire
Strengths:Compact, light, durable, convient & low priced.
Weaknesses:Single direction action, pump holder doesn't like to do it's job
Bike Setup:Custom "Heavy" XC trail bike
Bottom Line:The pump can be easily knocked out of the supplied holder - a minor annoyance when one has to stop to retreive it. When I vetured off road, I threw it into one of my saddle bags.

The other draw back is that it only pumps in one direction: combine that with the compact size and it can take a while to fill a flat tire.

I am knocking down the overall rating 2 points becasue of these two shortcomings.

The pump has a smooth action to it that on par with more expensive pumps. The pump never feels strained, and has no noticable flex in the shaft area when pumping away. With exception of not having double direction pump action, the pump is hard to fault - it's that good.

I highly recommend this pump to anyone who can live with the short stroke and single direction pumping action.

Favorite Trail:
Ladies Only
Duration Product Used:
6 months
Strengths:
Good mount, cheap, sturdy, looks cool, light.
Weaknesses:
Slow inflation
Similar Products Used:
Tiawanese 2-way pump.
Bike Setup:
Diamond back frame, highly customized XT/XTR comp. Manitou SX front fork.
Bottom Line:A good pump for the price. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that it pumps very slowly. But it doesn't really matter; the fact is it helps you when you need it. Nice and cheap. Liked the mount. Light, looks nice, quite sturdy. Comes with reversible adaptor for the different nozzle types. I reeccomend you get the 3-dollar 3 hose as well.
Overall Rating:4
