Date Reviewed: July 20, 2008
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Umm...cool looks.
Weaknesses:After less than a year of use the hose seperated from the chuck. There is no way to repair it.
Similar Products Used:Trusty 20 year old Silca. 10 year old Specialized.
Bike Setup:Both road and mtb
Bottom Line:I bought this pump after I had forgoten my regular "travel" pump for an afterwork ride. It worked great for about 7 months but then as I was pumping up the tires recently the hose blew out of the chuck. I put it back together but the hose will not stay in place due to the cheap plastic parts and poor tolerance. I have an older Specialized pump that has worked great for years but this one is just a poor design. Save your money and buy something else. I expect more from Specialized.

Favorite Trail:Boyette
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $43.00
Purchased At:Local bike shop
Strengths:Pump seems to be well built - pressure gauge is easy to see.
Weaknesses:I'm new to presta valves and fought this thing for over an hour. No instructions at all - kept flatting the tire as I pumped up the hose out of the pump to over 150. Loosening up the nozzle did the trick.
Similar Products Used:A low-cost floor pump
Bike Setup:Stock 2007 Fisher Supercaliber
Bottom Line:A functional pump with absolutely no manufacturer's instructions - low overall rating for making me figure it out myself.

Date Reviewed: August 29, 2004
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $39.00
Strengths:Solidly built. Can be used with Presta or Shraeder valves. Pressure gague is easy to read.
Weaknesses:No instructions whatsoever. I'm sure I would have figured out how to adjust the amount of grip on the valve eventually but the shop pro showed me when I bought it.
Bottom Line:Pumps up your tires in a hurry. Pressure gague is easy to read seems to be accurate.
