from New York Date Reviewed: May 3, 2003 | | Duration Product Used: | Less than 1 month | | Purchased At: | Bicycle habitat | | Strengths: | None. | | Weaknesses: | Pump came with bike. The valve does not rotate. As a result, it comes off slowly, losing all pressure. Was advised by the bike shop to buy a pump that has a rotating valve and use that one instead of this one. | | Bike Setup: | Specialized Epic | | Bottom Line: | Maybe there's a trick to it. However, I haven't found it. I'm going out to get another pump. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$30.00 | | Purchased At: | Speedgoat | | Strengths: | Does exactly what it's supposed to | | Weaknesses: | Expensive Low volume | | Similar Products Used: | Generic shock pump | | Bike Setup: | Cane Creek Cloud Nine | | Bottom Line: | My new Cloud Nine shock was not compatible with my old pump - I was losing 80-150 psi on disconnect. This pump works very well - with a little practice, less than 5 psi is lost. Pump is well built, looks like it'll last a while. The pump is very low volume, though - it takes twice the number of strokes to pressurize my shock with the Cane Creek versus my old one.
Best deal was found at Speedgoat - free shipping as well. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
