Date Reviewed: January 16, 2008
Favorite Trail:Guanica Dry Forest
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $25.00
Purchased At:Local Bike Shop
Strengths:Looks. Strong construction. Small size (8.25"). Aluminum shaft and barrel.
Weaknesses:A bit heavy at 4.5 onz. Max pressure at only 90 psi. Single Action.
Similar Products Used:The Latest: Micro Pocket Planet Bike (7.5" long and less than 4.5 onz but only 60psi max). Five years ago: Blackburn Mammoth. Both pumps single action.
Bike Setup:Ironhorse Hollowpoint Expert (2004 model). Mostly stock. WTB Moto Raptor 2.1 tires with Slime tubes.
Bottom Line:I need a small pump to accommodate at the seat post. Search for Topeak but would have to order it online and must of them were over 9 inches long. Blackburn was my second choice because of its name and quality of previous products used. Haven't test it "live" yet but will post immediately. My first concern about small pumps were they capacity to maintain high pressure without a leak of air. I made some test with the Shorty and no leaks at all.

I paid high for it but you can find better prices over the Internet.
