Date Reviewed: September 1, 2007
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:size, weight, construction, ease of use, works quickly
Weaknesses:make sure when you strap it in, the handle side is up... instructions were alittle hard to follow (you have a piece to switch around in the head)
Bottom Line:DOH!!! FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!! I didnt pay attention and mounted it on a MTB on the sprocket side with the handle facing down and you know what happened next! Now Im getting the chain and a gear replaced (but the pump is fine, go figure lol!)

Date Reviewed: August 21, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:online
Strengths:looks to be strong enough not to break during a manic pumping sesh, takes a nice photo on the online bike stores.
Weaknesses:dirt/grit inside pump chamber 4 hours from trail riding, rather on the large size for a mini pump - too long for veritcal seatpost mount, the carbon fibre is just a veneer - the pump is made of plastic and metal the same as the far cheaper (lighter?) mammoth model, the frame mounting is slack and not retaining relying on a cheapo thin velcro to prevent loss of the pump.
Similar Products Used:masses of pumps, more recently good: old faithful specialized air force. bad:barberi cart one carbon fiber
Bike Setup:04 s-works epic, xtr, crossmax sl, lots of choice carbon upgrades
Bottom Line:go down to your lbs and do some hands on research before you purchase this pump - as many online bike stores do not accept a slightly used pumps for refund!

it's probably an alright pump if you keep it in your backpack when riding, otherwise when you use it you will pump grit into your tires ...that is if you haven't lost it on the trail already.

Submitted by Mike Salkewicz a from Hopatcong, NJ, USA
Date Reviewed: December 17, 2006
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:BlueSky
Strengths:Super light, crafted extremely well, compact, delivers great airflow for its size
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:2007 Giant Reign 0
Bottom Line:This little bugger has saved my ass a few times. I noticed in the standard Mammoth review a few complaints regarding the frame mounts; however, they went in the trash as soon as I received the pump. I always ride with a pack containing an extra tube, repair kit, multitool etc., and this pump fits so nicely without hogging a ton of space. Why bother mounting it to the frame anyways?

Honestly, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. One of those things you've got to have, and this one has done me no wrong.
