Strengths: The double fudge brownie is the best pick me up type of snack I've had at the end of a hard ride! The mocha blast, mint chocolate and the wild berry/blueberry cheesecake flavors are very good also. I also use these post workout at the gym and are better tasting than any other protein bar that I've tried.Weaknesses: The only weekness I can think of is the lack of mass distribution, you can't just walk into any store and find these, although Netrtion does have a very good price and great customer service.Bottom Line: I would, and DO, recommend these bars to anybody that asks what bar I like. If a bar doesn't taste good what's the point in even trying to eat it.

Strengths: all of the flavors taste absolutly great. lower than average carbs with nice supply of protein and nutrition. easy to chew, store, and you ain't gona up-chuck during a hard ride. i have not found anything better. get it at netrition.com these are great people to buy from.Weaknesses: i keep running out. you can store them in the fridge for a long timeBottom Line: tried most of the energy bars, goop, gels, and even real fruit (not) but the promax is by far the best thing for me. if you are worried about a little sticky on your fingers or not being with maintaining a high carb input these will not fit your bill. but if you are after great taste and a mix of carbs and protein these are for you. hint: if you want just a little uplift go for the moca chocolate it has a pinch O-cafene.

Strengths: Tastes great and the ingredients are top-notch. Mostly whey protein, not too much of inferior proteins such as caseins and milk proteins. Works good and is easier to take with you than a recovery drink. Fovorite flavor is honey peanut.Weaknesses: Coating melts in heatBottom Line: Great product that tastes and works good!
Favorite Trail: Catawba (near Charlotte, NC)

Strengths:
20 grams of protein, not too shabby. and the classic glycogen replenishment combo of l-glutamine, l-leucine, l-isoleucine and l-valine.Weaknesses:
they're a bit chewy. makes 'em hard to eat on the go. and like any instant nutrition, they melt in the summer and freeze in the winter.Bottom Line: this is one of the few bars/drinks i've used where i can tell the difference between using it and not using it. i'd have to say it works best as a recovery snack, 'specially with that power packed protein blend they have. helps rebuild them muscles and gets you ready to go to work the next day and then do another two hour spin on colorado's front range. favorite flavor would have to be the suped up chocolate flavor.

Strengths:
One of the best tasting protein bars I've ever ate. And they are packed with protein.Weaknesses:
The chocolate coating melts in the heat and that sucks.Bottom Line: The rasberry really kicks butt and mocha flavor does too. Most of the flavors are good but these are my favorites.

Strengths:
massive amounts of protein, and they taste awesomeWeaknesses:
not the best energy bar in the worldBottom Line: Before or after a really hard workout, I eat one of these, especially if I have to ride the next day. 20+g protein, it really speeds up recovery, to the point where I can do multiple workouts in one day without really getting tired. Not to be confused with energy bars- these things are for recovery and building muscle. The peanut ones taste really good, too.
