Date Reviewed: December 7, 2008
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $3.00
Purchased At:Shop outside trail
Strengths:Mixes with water
Weaknesses:Taste, Lack of energy given
Similar Products Used:Cliff Bar
Bike Setup:Has 2 wheels
Bottom Line:I bought one of these after a 15 mile ride and I had to stomach this thing down. It was horrible tasting. It was supposed to be banana flavored but it was just honey. It did mix with water but it was just so bad tasting. If you like straight honey you will like this. If you don't like honey stay away from this.

Favorite Trail:Buttermilk
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $26.00
Purchased At:Performance bikes
Strengths:It is all natural. Tastes good. Must like Honey though!
Weaknesses:Short shelf life. They need to be consumed quickly as the Honey crystalizes and then it is like eating sandpaper.
Similar Products Used:Powergel (YUCK!) CarBoom (YUMMM!)
Bike Setup:2005 Specialized Rcokhopper Comp.
Bottom Line:Good product, if used as soon as it is purchased. I like carboom also since it is natural too, but does not crytalize like Honey stinger.

Favorite Trail:Razorback/ Bent Creek
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1.00
Strengths:Tastes great, doesn't upset stomach, variety of flavors, gives energy, and the consistency is perfect.
Weaknesses:none
Similar Products Used:You name the gel, I've eaten it.
Bike Setup:Race ready.
Bottom Line:These gels taste great and do exactly what they should do. There is a little grit in some of the fruit flavors, making them a little thicker, but it actually gives a nice change after eating a few gels.

Purchased At:REI
Strengths:Works as advertised. 5 flavors. Relatively inexpensive.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Power gel, Clif shot.
Bottom Line:Tastes good and works well. I have one about every hour of riding and it keeps me from bonking. Before I tried these I could ride about 2 hrs before starting to feel tired.
