Strengths: Enviromentally friendly.Weaknesses: Worst chain lube ever. Even WD40 works better than this.Bottom Line: I have no idea about durability as I don't plan on using this any more. As far as performance, this lube simply sucks.
It runs off metals in a similar way that water runs of a waxed car. I do like the regular Mineral oil based Triflo. But if the company wants to make a working non-toxic oil they should add some tackifiers or go with a synthetic base oil.

Strengths: Does not stinkWeaknesses: Gums up, runs off chain and metals, same consistency and performance as cooking oil (aka does not work).Bottom Line: I have been a long time user of regular Tri-Flow and it's one of my favorite all around lubricants. I decided to try the Soy version, thinking it would offer the same great performance and quality Tri-Flow is known for.
The Soy versions does not even comes close to the original formula. The Soy version when applied to metal seems to have no affinity, it just runs off while the regular Tri-Flow sticks tenaciously to everything. Worst, this lubricant gums off just like regular cooking soy oil (also smells and looks exactly the same).
Bottom line. If you want a great lubricant, get the regular Triflow. If you want a Soy based lubricant look elsewhere (Pedro, SL 100, etc.). If you would like to test how this soy based Triflow works, stick some cooking oil in to your chain; it will lubricate and gum up exactly the same as the Triflow Soy.
