Strengths: Worked fine in warm weather.Weaknesses: On a cold morning (34 degrees) I went out to use my saw and found the oil had congealed in the saw as well as in the container. It was a big mess attempting to mess out of the saw.Bottom Line: Don't even buy it if you plan to use your saw in cold weather!

Strengths: Cheap, BiodegradeableWeaknesses: Dries out and gums up chainBottom Line: This stuff had a lower viscosity and less tackiness than standard bar and chain oil. I had great hopes, but was sad to see that it had gummed up my chain. The links were beginning loose the flexability and cause shifting problems.

Strengths: Cheap, 100% Biodegradable, Last a long time, No chain suck, Cleans up easyWeaknesses: Animal BasedBottom Line: I am a wet lube user, I do not believe (from personal experience and as a long time mechanic) that dry lubes work. Since chain lube is in direct contact with the environment, I prefer that it be 100% biodegradable.
G-Oil Bar and Chain is easily available at Home Depot or Ace for about $6 a quart (compare to most chain lubes being $10 for 4oz). It is designed to cling to chainsaw chains so it will have no problem on a bicycle chain. Used sparingly, one drop per link and let soak in, then wipe clean...it works in even the worst weather and doesn't wash off. When it comes time to clean it, some biodegradable cleaner like Simple Green works great and it's easy to dispose of.
The ONLY reason I have chosen to use another product is because it is animal based (it's made from tallow). But if that is not a big deal for you, this is as good a chain lube as any I've used in 18 years of riding.
