Strengths: Awesome brightness, the car drivers stop when you look at them, you can almost hear them thinking what the ....!Weaknesses: The weak on-bike plastic mountings. The helmet mounting is the best option.
The weight is fairly heavy but it’s worth it.
Bottom Line: If you are a frequent night rider spend the money on this light and you'll be happy forever.
If you have the cash and you want a really good light that is a quality product that will last the next ten years, buy this light. I'm not too sure about the newer model, a friend has it and he is happy. I think the battery is a little lighter but doesn’t last as long.
Favorite Trail: the hardpack and forrest between the roads... :-(

Strengths: pretty bright, no hot spot, wide field of viewWeaknesses: have to hold down button too long to turn on and off, usual HID warm up timeBottom Line: Pretty good HID set up. Controls however are pretty silly in how long you have to hold the button.

Strengths: 4 Hour Burn-time, Star Wars Brightness, Bling Factor! Also great customer service!Weaknesses: Battery Still somewhat heavy, Helmet strap too stretchy(they now have improved ones, just have to ask the company)Bottom Line: I have to give the value rating a small hit as all hid's- not just Topeaks are still astronomically expensive!
This light has yet to let me down, unless I have forgotten to charge it fully. I usually only ride from 1-2 hours per ride so the 4 hr burn time has not been a big factor unless I forget to charge after the last ride I can still get one more ride in.
This light will allow you travel just as fast at night as you would during the day even on our twisted single-track. If you have only one light, this is all you will need but it will break the bank! You could run a bar mount as well but I have never seen the need at all for a 2nd light. The company was great to deal with on the strap issue so 5 chilis overall! Ride On! Thanks Topeak for the follow up.

Strengths: Very bright. Both handlebar and helmet mount. Long run time.
Easy Battery mount.Weaknesses: None so far.Bottom Line: I used to ride on summer night to avoid sunshine. Moonshine HID give me the brightest light in dark night and no more restriction on any trail.
Product comes with helmet and handlebar mount to fit any road condition (It's a little heavy mounted on helmet but get more bright on off-road).
Quick release battery mount on stem is convient and won't occupy bottle cage or handlebar space.
I can enjoy long distance riding fun with 5 hours run time.
