Strengths: Nice beam pattern, for lighting the road ahead. it doesn't floods light other than the road. For commuting and paved roads works well. It does great what its meant to, nice solid beam at center and no flood around.
Nice solid handlebar bracket. Quick setup.
IT CAN USE RECHARGEABLE NiMH batteries, just by purchasing the 12v charger or making out one. That's a great $$ saving feature.Weaknesses: A bit too narrow beam pattern, too. Its an strenght and a weakness because you need another flood light to light nearest obstacles if you put the Lightster to light the distance.Bottom Line: Nice one, for lighting the road ahead. Throws a nice distant light, very focused, useful and solid. Made for roadies or dirt roads, without slow rock descends or climbs that could use a floodlight in the helmet.
